Blacksmiths are a true force to be reckoned with as you have the most hit points out of all roles however keep in mind if you die you must spend a very long hour in the darkness before rebirth.
SPECIAL SKILLS:
  • Can wear any armor and use all weapons
  • Ancalagon grants the Blacksmith the gift of repairing an armor 4 times per contest by touching it. Repairing immediately restores all armor points of the armor. To repair it the Blacksmith must also spend one piece of Silver Ore (special ore attainable in-game only). The Blacksmith must have his hands free (griping no items) and to press his palms against the armor.
SPECIAL RULES: 
  • Resistance to magic:
    - Healer’s touch or healing potion will not work on a Blacksmith.
    - Blacksmith’s hit points will not be restored for/between/after contests or sunrise/sunset.
    - When participating in contests the Blacksmith cannot use respawn points but must go to manala when dead.
    - A Blacksmith cannot buy himself out of manala prematurely but must always spend an hour there.
  • The only way a Blacksmith can regain hit points is binding them (rules for binding wounds apply). However bound wounds heal twice as fast. It takes 10 minutes for a Blacksmith to regain a hit point (5 minutes if a Healer cares for him).
  • The Blacksmith can use his armor repairing abilities between contests as well but only 6 times during sun cycle. It means his armor repair powers will reset each time the sun rises or sets (in game mechanics terms at 22:00 and 10:00 respectively).

Expectations for Character creation: 

  • BODY ARMOUR: As you don't get the privilege to go to respawn during scenarios it is strongly recommended to wear enough body armor to get to the max 5AP
  • HELMET: There is no expectation for wearing a helmet but we recommend some head protection to avoid happy accidents. 
  • GAMBESON: Recommended - as a light protective garment it can offer you some protection and comfort from your armor and it gives 1 AP for survivability. 
  • SHIELD: You are allowed to carry a shield for your protection
  • WEAPONS: You are free to pick your fighting style based on your preferences. Our Royal Armoury is happy to provide you a weapon of your choosing to support your cause.

Other Expectations: We recommend working on your strength and stamina to be fit and agile but it's not a hard must, it's more for general quality of life.
